Endy, as we mentioned in our review is Canadian company that makes all-foam mattress in a box with their special Endy foam, that give a medium firmness that their customers love. They are one of the biggest bed-in-a box retailers in Canada and can get praise for being socially conscious as they are donating their mattresses through their charity partners across Canada.

Purple, one of the biggest names in the industry with their lightweight polymer that has their signature color, as you can guess purple is taking the industry by storm. They are also rated as a medium firm mattress which can be great for side sleepers.

Look at our comparison and decide what is the best option for you, of course we will give you our opinion!

The feel: Endy vs. Purple

When it comes to comfort, firmness is the name of the game. The degree to which a mattress is hard or soft is central to its feel. At the same time, this is completely subjective since what type of feel is most comfortable for you will be different from what is most comfortable for other people.

So, for us, Endy felt like a 6/10 in terms of firmness, just a bit softer-than-average, but the mattress does feel a bit softer and firmer depending on our sleeping position.

The Purple mattress has a medium to medium firm feel; 6-6.5 out of 10 on the firmness scale. Purple has a unique feel, compared to the other mattresses in this comparison.

Endy’s comfort layer evenly distributes pressure points on your body to reduce tossing and turning – so you can relax more fully into your sleep.  Purple on the other hand is designed to not only help you get better sleep, but to soothe joints, release pressure on the hips and shoulders, and support the neck and back.

Motion transfer and Edge support

Both the Purple and Endy do an excellent job of motion isolation and limiting disruptions that come from movement of another person who is sharing the bed. The bounce from the Purple mattress makes it transfer slightly more movement, but this will not be noticeable by most sleepers. Endy mattresses noticeably reduce motion transfer between you and your partner. So you can rest undisturbed – and rejuvenate more deeply.

You ask yourself why is edge support important? When a person sleeps with a partner, space is important. Especially when we are talking about a Queen-size mattress, there is not a ton of room for both partners to stretch out.

While Endy’s edge support isn’t too bad, the Purple’s edge support is better. The mattress features a foam encasement, designed to help enhance the edge support.

Looking at everything, even though they offer very similar amenities, firmness and edge support were deciding factors in the end. Purple has our vote this time!
